Authors to Envato Elements share in 50% of the net revenue from subscriptions. We allocate this as fairly as possible, using the “subscriber share” method.
With subscriber share your earnings as an author are directly linked to the money collected from each individual subscriber. We look at each subscriber in turn, and assign you a share of 50% of their net revenue based on how important your items were to them (calculated from your share of all item points they used in that period)
If a subscriber doesn't download anything, the full 50% of their net revenue is still distributed: we simply share that money equally among all authors.
This approach to revenue share means that:
- The greater the number of subscribers who use your items, the more you earn.
- The greater the proportion of an individual subscriber's usage that relates to your items, the more you earn. In fact, if they only use your items, then you get all of their revenue share amount.
- The more item points your item is worth, the more you earn for a download
- We always share 50% of the net revenue, regardless of a subscriber's usage
